LINEAR FLOW FORM
This form project was the first of many for the semester. This project introduced ideas of a fair curve, hierarchy, focal point, acceleration, direction and implied volume that continued to be used in further exploration and later projects. Through sketching and bending veneer wood strips, the class created objects that both had volume and movement.

I quickly learned that transitioning from working through sketches and paper models to working with the veneer was very different, and because of this high attention to line quality and fairness was important. My largest personal struggle was maintaining and finding the material's limits. I found that the veneer did not need extreme manipulation to create interesting patterns. For My final iteration I focused on creating these patterns so as to produce an implied volume.
